International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers issued the following announcement on July 11.
Members of IAM Local Lodge 2332 have ratified a new collective agreement with Highland Ford.
The multi-year agreement provides wage increases of 2.5 per cent in each year. Other agreement highlights include:
2 per cent increases in pension contributions over the life of the agreement
Improved vision care benefits
Improved life insurance benefits
The 26 members include mechanics, body shop personnel, parts personnel, office staff, quick lube personnel and service writers.
The IAM also represents workers at Maitland Lewis Motors, Prouse Motors, Superior Dodge Chrysler, and Superior Nissan.
The IAM represents more than 1600 workers at auto dealerships on Vancouver Island, the lower mainland of British Columbia, as well as Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
