Goeasy elects new board members at annual shareholders meeting

Goeasy Ltd shareholders recently approved the nominations of seven candidates for board of directors during their annual meeting.

During the meeting in Toronto, shareholders voted to elect all nominees on the ballot for seats on goeasy’s board of directors. Newly elected board members include Donald K. Johnson, David Ingram, David Appel, David Thompson, Sean Morrison, Karen Basian and Susan Doniz.

Headquartered in Mississauga, goeasy is a full-service provider of goods and alternative financial services with two operating divisions, which are easyfinancial and easyhome. Easyfinancial serves as a non-prime consumer lender, while easyhome provides household furniture, appliances and electronics for lease.

The company has a national store and branch network of over 200 easyfinancial locations and over 170 easyhome stores throughout Canada and through its online business.

The company has been operating since 1990 and employs about 1,700 people.
