The Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s Ontario Economic Series will feature Nobel Prize-winning economist Dr. Joseph E. Stiglitz on Sept. 15.
The OES will focus on crucial issues about the post-COVID-19 economies. Due to the pandemic, the OES will be held virtually throughout the fall. Internationally renowned influencers will share their ideas with economic leaders from varied backgrounds and industries.
Stiglitz, former World Bank chief economist is an ideal opening speaker, according to organizers.
“None of us could have imagined the unprecedented challenges presented by a global pandemic in Canada and around the world,” Ontario Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Rocco Rossi said in a release. “There is no one better positioned to kick off the Ontario Economic Series with a discussion on the future of globalization and Canada’s place in the world order than Dr. Stiglitz."
