George Brown College recently issued the following announcement.
Whether you’re beginning to think about college or you’ve got your top contenders locked in, the Ontario College Information Fair (OCIF) is an awesome resource. There’s always a lot going on over the two days, so we asked Adam Lawrence, our On-Campus Liaison & Recruitment Officer, to share some OCIF hacks to make sure you have a great (and productive) time!
Check out the swag! All of the colleges have it, and no, we’re not telling you what we’re offering this year. However, if you’re like us, we know blue is your best colour, so head over to the GBC booth.
Visit the demos: There’s going to be some pretty cool things on display. We’re hoping you’re already leaning towards George Brown, so why not stop by our booth to check our Virtual Reality demo and tour our campus? Then you don’t have to take our word for it that our downtown Toronto location is pretty epic.
Wondering where to eat? There are a lot of options on site for you to consider but if you’re looking to save some money, you can take advantage of those homemade lunches while you still live at home. You can also visit schools that have culinary programs (like us!) – they’ve been known to have free samples from time to time.
Find Helder and get a #GBCHigh5: Helder the Husky is our mascot and he sometimes makes an appearance at OCIF. He loves meeting new students and giving high fives so get a selfie with him.
Bring your questions: Attending OCIF is a big step towards your post-secondary career, and there’s so much you may be wondering. It’s a good idea to have your questions ready – there will be so many people who can help answer them.
OCIF runs October 23-24 at Exhibition Place in downtown Toronto. To learn more about OCIF, head over to ocif.ca.
