Association of Management, Administrative and Professional Crown Employees of Ontario issued the following announcement on Sept. 12.
Watch our website later this month for information on nominations for positions on the Board of Directors and three ADC committees. Nominations will open on Friday, September 28, for the following positions: President, Treasurer, and six District Directors at the Board level; and ten committee positions (three seats on the Audit Committee; two on the Elections and Credentials Committee; and five on the Resolutions Committee).
Board and Committee members are elected for two years, and are staggered so approximately one-half of the positions turn over each year. The Resolutions Committee is resuming staggering this year, so three positions will be elected for two years and two for one year. These elections are held among the Delegates at the Annual Delegates’ Conference (or ADC).
The following six District Director positions will be up for nomination (with the other six Directors, plus the Vice-President and Secretary, continuing for another year):
Bay Street District
GTA North District
Midtown Toronto District
Mowat/Hearst District
Northern Ontario District
Western Ontario District.
Nominations occur online with nominees typically self-nominating. While waiting for the call for nominations to be posted on September 28, you can find more information on AMAPCEO’s governance and representation structure on our website. Once open, nominations will run through until noon on Friday, October 26.
