The IQPC Exchange will present its first Chief Learning Officer Exchange in Canada next month, bringing together the heads of 40 learning and development departments from some of the country's most successful companies.
The Exchange, which has attracted a large number of participants in the United States, will make its debut in Canada July 23-25 in Toronto, where it will provide networking, learning and collaboration for executives on the issues of learning and development and business growth, according to a press release.
Featured speakers will include executives from Cirque Du Soleil, Cineplex, St. Joseph’s Hospital of Toronto and Royal Bank Canada, who will focus on the event’s theme of “Evolving L&D to Fuel Innovation and Drive Business Growth.”
Bernard Petiot, Cirque Du Soleil’s vice president of casting and performance, will share insights on his company’s success in leveraging high-potential talent with “High Performing Teams: Celebrating Human Potential to Promote Collaboration, Creativity and Innovation at Cirque Du Soleil.”
In addition, Dess Wood, Cineplex’s head of talent, and Mike Heenan, St. Joseph’s Hospital of Toronto’s vice president of communications and organizational strategy, will discuss gender diversity strategies and “Upscaling High-Potential Leaders with Agility to Enhance Organizational Performance.”
“The Architects of Experience: Innovating L&D at the Speed of Business” will be presented by Sandra Baglione, Royal Bank of Canada’s head of P&CB learning and development.
The event venue will be announced soon, according to the release.
