The Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) Health and Wellness Committee will host “Tackling Marijuana In The Workplace" in August.
The event will follow the Good Morning Mississauga series, which runs from 7:30-9:30 a.m. Aug. 9, and will feature several local business leaders sharing information for employers.
The event will take place at Sheridan College Hazel McCallion Campus, 4180 Duke of York Boulevard in Mississauga.
Featured speakers and specific topics will include Susanne Balpataky, who is a partner at Speigel Nichols Fox LLP, will discuss “Stirring the Pot: Marijuana in the Workplace, What Employers Need To Know.” Speaking on “Cannabinoids and You: How Cannabis Works To Improve Your Health" will be managing director of Delta Eight at Pharmaceutical’s Gavin Clark. Paul Kutter with Business Management at Zentrela Inc. will present “You Think They Are Stoned – But How Do You Actually Test For Cannabis Intoxication?"
Guests will be treated to a hot buffet breakfast, business card draws, networking and business profile presentations.
The cost is $15 for MBOT members, $20 for nonmembers and free for all Good Morning Mississauga event attendees. Walk-ins will be accepted; however, registration is recommended.
