The Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) will host a Membership Matters event in August for members to learn about their MBOT membership perks.
The meeting, which is open to all members, will be held from 8-10 a.m. Aug. 2 at the MBOT in Mississauga.
The MBOT said in an announcement that the event will give members a refresher course about the membership opportunities they learned about as new members during orientation.
Walk-ins will not be accepted, and registration is limited to the first 30 members who sign up for the event. For registration information, visit http://web.mbot.com/events/Membership-Matters-August-490/details.
The MBOT was established in 1961 and serves as an advocate in representing the interests of local businesses. The organization has several committees and forums for businesses in the community including policy and government affairs, growth and power, the Women’s Leadership Committee, information and technology, health and wellness, international trade and environment and sustainability.
Mississauga is home to over 700,000 residents, making it the sixth-largest city in the nation and third largest in Ontario, according to the MBOT. The area is also home to over 50,000 businesses, which employ more than 440,000 people.
