The Mississauga Board of Trade will host a “Love, Family + Business” seminar about lending money to family, with information from legal and financial experts.
The seminar will be at 8 a.m. June 8 at the Corporate Event Centre at CHSI, 5110 Creekbank Road in Mississauga.
The event will begin with breakfast and networking and will feature three experts addressing the financial, tax planning and legal aspects involved with family-related borrowing and lending of money. Speakers will include Jeff Noble with BDO, Craig Ross with Pallett Valo and Johnathan Brindley with Liquid Capital Advance Corp.
Noble, who is a senior consultant in BDO’s Advisory Services Practice, helps family enterprises, private companies and nonprofits to transition. He is the fourth generation to work in his family’s firm and has experience with privately owned businesses and stakeholders.
Ross, a member of the Estate Litigation Group and Family Business Law Group, is the head of his firm’s wills, estates and trust practice. He also has extensive experience in helping families who have children with disabilities. He has had several articles published on estate planning for beneficiaries with disabilities.
Brindley, who is the owner of Liquid Capital Advance Corp., works with small to midsize companies with limited working capital to help them grow. He has 25 years of experience in the financial field.
