Nobu Hospitality principals recently unveiled its plans for Nobu Residences Toronto, marking the first integrated Nobu residences, hotel and restaurant.
Nobu announced the plans for the project during a recent press conference with Nobu Hospitality principals Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro and Hollywood producer Meir Teper.
The project, under the principal developer Madison Group, is slated for pre-construction sales starting this month and will feature luxury high-rise residences, as well as Canada’s first Nobu Hotel and restaurant, according to a press release. Nobu Residences Toronto will include a 45-storey, two-tower, 660-unit building with distinctive architecture.
Nobu residences will be complete with villas, amenities such as an athletic club, private theatre screening room and a dog spa. Nobu villas will include fireplaces and a private dining area with chef’s table.
The hotel will feature guest suites with panoramic views and a 15,000-square-foot, two-level restaurant with private dining rooms.
“I am very proud to have my name on this building,” Matsuhisa said during the unveiling of the project. “It will be very special and we are happy to be in Toronto.”
De Niro said he looks forward to spending more time in the "great city" of Toronto once the Nobu project is complete.
“Toronto is a great city, said De Niro. “I’ve filmed here, I’ve been here for the film festival, which is excellent, and I am looking forward to spending more time here once Nobu Toronto opens.”
