Acasta Enterprises Inc. has tapped Erik Levy to serve as managing partner to support the company’s new initiatives and corporate development.
Acasta, a Canadian company that acquires businesses and serves as a private equity fund manager, said that Levy will join Anthony Melman and Michael Liebrock as a founding partner for Acasta’s private equity business.
Levy, who recently served as senior principal and founding member of Direct Private Equity at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) is also a former member of the CPPIB's Investment Partnerships and Private Debt Investment committees.
Levy also served as a director of Skype Technologies, Acelity, Suddenlink Communications, Informatica Corp. and Altice USA. He also held positions at Bain & Co. in Toronto and Paris.

His arrival will be of enormous value as we pursue several strategic and proprietary private equity investment initiatives across our business."
Levy is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto where he earned his MBA, and he holds a B.S. in actuarial mathematics from Concordia University.
