The Ontario Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its 2017 Ontario Business Achievement Awards.
The awards gala, now in its 30th year, will be held Nov. 29 at the Carlu in Toronto and is considered one of the most-recognized industry galas that celebrates business success.
Categories for the Ontario Business Achievement Awards include Corporation Citizen, Beyond Borders – Medium Business Award, Beyond Borders – Small Business Award, Ontario Leader in Accessible Employment, the Business 360 and Sustainability.
The Corporate Citizen category recognizes a large business who has a proven, long-term commitment to investing in the community.
The Beyond Borders category honors one medium and one small business for their export strategy which has resulted in positive earnings.
The Ontario Leader in Accessible Employment category of the awards highlights a business for its accessible work environment and valuing employees with disabilities.
A business that has shown innovation, sustainability, skills development, corporate citizenship and general forward-thinking will be awarded the Business 360 Award.
Proven leadership in environmental and sustainability initiatives are highlighted with the Sustainability Award.
A young Ontario entrepreneur will be awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for his or her successful business venture.
