Great Gulf will continue its annual Doors Open Toronto today featuring access to some of the city’s most significant and unexplored buildings.
The event, now in its 18th year includes 150 of Toronto’s buildings that have a rich history, architecture and culture with over 10 walking tours available. Most venues will be open until 5 p.m., and a complete list is available at www.toronto.ca/doorsopen.
Over the past 18 years, Doors Open has attracted over 2 million visitors to more than 700 of Toronto’s unique locations, making it one of the largest Doors Open events in the nation. The purpose of Doors Opens is to celebrate heritage, architecture and design. The event is held in conjunction with the city of Toronto and the province of Ontario’s 150 program.
Toronto, which is the fourth largest city in North America, is home to nearly 2.8 million people. It is known as a business, finance, arts and cultural global center.
As part of Canada’s 150 birthday celebration, Toronto will host a yearlong event called “TO Canada with Love, featuring celebrations, commemorations and exhibits.
