DocuSign, a company that offers major digital verification services across Canada, has made an interesting partnership with Microsoft.
The company has chosen Microsoft Azure as its main cloud services platform, according to a press release.
“Microsoft and DocuSign have a long-standing partnership and go to market strategy – DocuSign is integrated tightly into Microsoft Office 365, as an example,” Dan Kagan, general manager for the Canadian business at DocuSign, told Toronto Business Daily in an exclusive written statement. “We chose Microsoft Azure, as it was the best fit to support our expansion strategy today and for the future. It will help us grow our existing presence in countries like Canada where data residency requirements are vital to success. And it will help us expand into new markets around the world by allowing us to scale our presence to meet local demand.”
Kagan described how its digital partnerships help DocuSign to provide services to Canadian society.
"There is enormous potential for digital transformation across Canada – from taking simple paper-based processes and making them digital, all the way to managing the entire digital transaction chain,” Kagan said. “DocuSign – and the news with Microsoft Azure today – helps to unlock that potential, because it allows the personally identifiable information used in digital transactions to be kept resident in Canada, in accordance with the stringent requirements outlined by companies in relation to Canadian law.”
All of this happens in conjunction with a DocuSign initiative called Invest for Canada that Kagan said will help DocuSign add to its local footprint, invest in the local workforce and help companies to compete on the local and international stage.
“We think the future for DocuSign – and, indeed, digital transformation as whole – is incredibly bright,” Kagan said. “We just announced that we now have more than 300,000 customers and more than 200 million users in 188 countries, with an average of 300,000 new users joining the platform every day … With new innovation on our platform, new integrations being created by our developer network and customers who are looking to come to agreement digitally every single day, we believe our growth here in Canada and around the world has only just started.”
