British Swim School will be expanding into Canada, with its first two locations in the country opening in Mississauga.

The first location will be at a corporate-owned pool at the TownPlace Suites by Marriott, and the second location will be at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in Mississauga.

The school expects to open over 50 new locations in Canada by 2020.

Rita Goldberg, CEO and co-founder of British Swim School, said the school’s year-round curriculum of water safety, survival and swimming skills development has created a great demand for the program.

“It was a natural progression to target Canada to enhance our international presence,” Goldberg said in a press announcement. “Canada generally focuses on session-based lessons versus our year-round approach proving the demand for our services."

British Swim School currently operates over 130 pools through the United States and one in Turkey. The school is looking for franchise partners for expansion into Canada, according to the announcement.
