Medline recently appointed Ernie Philip as its new president for its Canada operation.
Philip will take over as the global medical supply company’s head beginning May 30 and will focus on expanding Medline’s sales and operational presence Kristofer Howard, Medline’s chief financial officer, said.
“I am very excited to have someone of Ernie’s calibre to lead our team in Canada, which represents one of the largest medical supply businesses in this strategically important market,” Howard said in an announcement. “Ernie has the executive skills and experience we need to build our sales, marketing and operational presence as we look for innovative ways to address our customer’s most pressing clinical and supply challenges.”
Philip, who previously served as a senior vice president for Xerox Canada’s services business, has experience in financial performance, strategy, organization design, mergers, acquisitions and sales.
“At Xerox, Ernie focused on building and growing new lines of business, which will be part of his responsibilities at Medline,” Howard said. “He will continue to grow our health care business and be responsible for both the Medline product offering and Medical Mart distribution services.”
Phillip will work out of Medline’s Mississauga and Milton, Ontario, offices.
